We can supply anything from full build through to supply only of the oak frame or even just architectural design but you should fully understand the process before you embark on your project. Many oak frame companies will provide roof tiling as part of the building and some will also provide groundworks but these will almost always be subcontracted to other companies with a profit margin added by the oak frame company.

Most oak framing companies will have grown from a carpenter expanding his carpentry business or by someone who has worked for a bigger oak framing company and decided to do it themselves. An oak frame company will rarely employ their own roofers, they will use a number of smaller roof tiling companies but will generally add on 30% on the cost of roofing to cover their ‘costs’. Our preference is for us to supply and install the frame or even supply only. Our view is that trades such as groundworks, roofing, plumbing and electrics should be done by a local company. Partly because this will be more cost effective for the client and partly as it will be much easier to get these trades back to site if there are any issues later. Some companies will lock you in to a contract at planning stage and will enforce that contract regardless of your personal circumstances. Most oak frame companies will persuade you to use their preferred system of glazing. We will happily give you all the knowledge to help you make the choice and we are happy to provide your preferred option. Please contact us if you have any questions.
